Cooper, Cooper, Cooper

Well today I pick my child up from daycare and as I enter the building his class is lining up at the door to go outside. As the class recognized me several shouted out, "Cooper got his name on the board...with a star(even worse)!" The look on Cooper's face and I knew it was true! What's worse is that he not only got his name on the board, but sent to the office, a slap on the hand, and a note sent home! What tha... Why is my child turning into a little monster? We got in the car and when asked why he got his name on the board, he said, "Mom, I'm just a bad kid." After explaining to him that he was not a bad kid, but that he was acting bad, he told me he didn't want to go back to school. His attitude didn't start getting this bad until he was moved up to the 4 year old class. I'm beginning to wonder about the influences in this class. Not that I am blaming Cooper's behavior on anyone else, but he used to be so sweet! No he is EVIL!
I think the biggest struggle with being a parent is discipline. That and being consistent with your spouse on disciplining. I was hoping for a few more years of a sweet child, but I guess that is lost forever. I'm kind of sad.

Some pictures of our Christmas holiday and New Years!

So it has only taken me 6 months to "redo" my blog, but I have finally gotten there. School, work, Cooper, and Dean take up quite a bit of my time so blogging usually gets put on the back burner. One of my New Year's Resolutions was to keep up better with my blog, post more pictures, and of course lose a little weight. So let's see if I can keep any of these resolutions come December!
We had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends and enjoyed a great family New Year's Party! Couldn't have asked for more, except for maybe not having to work! The joys and rewards of healthcare I suppose!
Back to my weight loss resolution...My sister and I have decided to run a 5K sometime in May. I know, I know... it's only 3 miles, but for someone who has not regularly worked out in some time it's a major deal for me. My sister, who just had her second child (and by the way looks GREAT) has agreed to run with me. Not sure if it was for support, or for the shear joy of watching me struggle through 3 miles, or so that in years to come we will have something to look back and laugh about! No matter what I am determined! I hope to chronicle my "training" for the 5K on my blog. More for the accountability factor than because someone may actually be interested in keeping up with my progress. So stay tuned!
About to start my 3rd semester of nursing school tomorrow! A little anxious, but ready! Ready to get it over with! I will graduate this December (2010) and cannot wait! Just hope I can find a job. It has taken me a long time to finally complete my degree and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just hope this semester is a little easier than last. Mental Health and Labor/Delivery this time. I often wonder why those two classes are offered in the same semester! Could it be after having children you are mentally unstable or is it the you've got to be crazy to have children?
So again, my goals this year are to keep up with my blog a bit better, post more pics and most importantly lose weight and graduate nursing school! Wow, lots to do in one short year!
